Hey, I’m Susen—the heart and hands behind SIMCO SKINCARE.

I’ve always had the itch to create something of my own. Ever since primary school, when I sold lollies with a better bargain than the school canteen (until the teacher made me stop 😅), I’ve been chasing the dream of building something real, something meaningful.

Over the years, I’ve tried just about every business under the sun—jewelry, candles, mugs, cheesecakes, even supplements. Some flopped, some flew, but none of them felt quite like me. That was, until I discovered my love for skincare—and especially, soapmaking.

In December 2023, I officially launched SIMCO SKINCARE online, after months of formulating and testing. Then, in February 2025, I took a huge leap and opened the doors to our very first shop front in Perth. What started at my kitchen table slowly grew into something I could finally share with the world.

I started with a turmeric skincare range—formulated, tested, and tweaked with so much care. Turmeric quickly became the hero ingredient in many of our products because of its natural skin-loving benefits.

I believe that skincare should be gentle, effective, and honest. That’s why all of our handmade products are:

Made with natural ingredients

Fragrance-free (except for our reed diffusers and candles!)

Coloured only with natural clays and plant-based powders

Paraben-free, SLS-free, and free from phthalates or harsh chemicals

While our business is still young, I’m beyond grateful for every bit of support. Whether you’ve placed an order, liked a post, or told a friend about us—thank you. You’re helping this little dream of mine grow.

Every soap bar is handmade in small batches, and I put my whole heart into creating products that I truly believe in. And when it comes to packing your order? Let’s just say, I don’t skimp on the care there either. We’ve had customers describe it as the “princess treatment” (their words, not mine! 😹), and I’ll happily take that title.

Although most of SIMCO is run by just me, my husband Steve is my behind-the-scenes tech guy and biggest cheerleader—he jumps in whenever things get too overwhelming. Our two cats are the honorary supervisors (mainly supervising naps and snack breaks).

And while many of our products are handmade by me, I also work closely with trusted Australian chemists to create certain skincare items—especially to help take the load off and ensure quality and consistency as we grow.

We're taking things one step at a time here at SIMCO SKINCARE. More skin-loving products are always in the works—but slow, mindful growth is the way we do things.
